We are cultivating a modern Australian bathing culture — one that draws inspiration from a wide range of global traditions including European purification rituals, Eastern practices of wellness and communal rest, while paying deep respect to the sacred waters of the land we live upon. Acknowledging the traditional custodians of this place - the Darug and Gundungurra people.
As a new space grounded in reverence and renewal, we recognise Australia as a place of rich cultural diversity. We are committed to honouring that diversity with care and integrity.
Our simple guidelines are designed to create a quiet, respectful environment so every guest can experience stillness, connection, and rejuvenation — while we continue to grow and shape this shared ritual space.
1. Respect the Space: Remember, our communal space is also a sanctuary for relaxation and reflection - please be mindful of others’ experiences.
2. Wash Before you Begin: Please remove all makeup and jewellery. Have a good shower to ensure your body is clean before entering any of our facilities.
3. Hygiene First: Do not submerge your head or face to prevent the spread of hair or saliva, a common-sense rule inspired by Japanese bathing culture.
4. Rinse Immediately: After leaving the sauna or steam room, please rinse off to maintain a clean, pleasant environment.
5. The Invitation is for Silence Upstairs: Our Yin rest area is a place for internal reflection - please keep it quiet.
6. The invitation is to Community Outside: Our Yang area is an outward focussed space - we encourage you to meet someone new.
7. Disconnect to Reconnect: We encourage you to put your phone away and embrace the inward, reflective, and communal journeys our space offers.
